A Promise of Fruit

A Promise of Fruit

What a wonderful summer we are having this year. It is amazing to me that I am looking for plants that thrive in hot climates for a pea patch in Seattle. I have my eye on some soy bean seeds I saw that are supposed to love hot and dry weather. While you are enjoying the sun on the deck, make sure you check out some of the flowers in the vegetable garden. The tomatoes, peppers, beans, sunflower seeds, and even tiny cucumber plants are all starting to blossom this month. We still have one more harvest of the spring lettuce and kale before we just sit back and watch the summer fruit grow. I love this photo that Randy took of the sweet Italian pepper blossom.
